The lake held at full pool, and fishing was good last week. Afternoon winds have been blowing hard, but the morning sessions have been very fishable. Bass anglers connected with large and smallmouth using Texas rigs, creature baits, drop shot, and crankbaits. Most of the action remained close to shore with fish taking brown, dark green, and purple plastics. Striped bass remained elusive with the occasional line-side chasing down an umbrella rig or trolled spoon. Catfish ate chicken liver and dip bait, but that bite was on the slow side.
