Here is a great catch by our local Mohave High Fishing Club! They were fishing from shore using anchovies for bait. Some stripers were landed in the Rotary Park area. Our local anglers, under the mentorship of Gary Regan, include Luis and Miguel Cuellar, Jonathan Longtime, Donavan Berry, Jason and Jacqueline Barela, and Tasha Davis. This club visits various locations, and Gary has been providing this service with the school's blessing to help get the youngsters out and fishing.

I am also receiving reports of stripers being landed near and at Community Park along the casino area. The Davis Dam area has been producing well. Up on Lake Mohave, fishing has been good for stripers. Smallmouth bass are found along the shelves, while largemouth bass are back in the coves. This time of year, anchovies have been effective for the stripers, and various plastics for the bass. Some spinnerbaits and shallow diver crankbaits have also been known to produce a few.
