Naci fell to 67 percent of its storage capacity, and bass anglers reported another solid week of fishing. Spotted bass were the best bet with 1-to-3-pound fish falling for reaction baits early and late in the day. Drop shot, spider jigs, and Senkos worked for bites in 10 to 30 feet of water midday with Smokin’ Shad, The Peoples Worm, and Tequilla Sunrise all scoring bites. White bass anglers clobbered them with topwater and spoons. The trick has been to find shad schools with white bass nearby. Crappie anglers did well with small live minnows and minijigs tipped with crappie nibbles. Catfish slurped up dip baits and cut mackerel off the bottom.
