Pyramid lake anglers reported high winds throughout the week, but with a protected marina launching was allowed. Bass anglers targeted protected coves for decent results. Drop shot, Texas rigs, and split shot rigs took bass on points and bluff walls. Brown and purple were good colors to start with. Anglers also reported an emerging deep crankbait bite with shad imitations and yellow baits fooling fish. Striped bass anglers reported a slower bite with some fish falling for cut baits near the marina. One local angler landed some better grade linesides while throwing magnum topwater baits over windswept points. The vertical spoon bite should develop in the coming weeks. Catfish went after chicken liver and cut anchovies at the inlet and in the marina.
