The lake held near full pool with water temps below sixty degrees. Bass anglers went deep with drop shot and Ned rigs for fair to good results. Margarita mutilator and green pumpkin were good color choices. Anglers also scored bites along bluff walls with deep diving crankbaits. Kastmasters and War Eagles took bass in 30 to 50 feet of water on the vertical presentation. Striped bass anglers focused on big baits near the marina in hopes of connecting with bigger fish. Several fish over ten pounds have been reported since the first trout plant of the season. Cut baits anglers landed smaller grade striper at the inlet. Catfish were decent for anglers using chicken liver and cut baits near Tin Cup and Freeway Cove. Rainbow trout anglers did very well using dough baits, Mouse Tails, and minijigs. Spoons were also a good option.
