Isabella Lake held at 27 percent of its storage capacity and the water temp is in the high 40’s. The bass action is hit or miss here. Anglers are having to put some work in to get quality bites. Sonars and blade baits are finding a few keeper size bass. Quality bites are coming on 3/8 or ½ ounce football blank n blue jigs with Rapala black/blue clean up craws and brown/purple jigs with chigger craws. Bass are also coming on big swimbaits. The best actions have been near Rocky Point, Engineers and Piney Point. Catfish anglers have had a few bites with Triple S Dip Bait, cut baits and nightcrawlers, but the overall bite has been tough. The crappie bite has tapered down a bit. Crappie are being found around 30 to 40-feet, but many of the bites are coming from 15to 20-feet of water with natural colored jigs and live shiners.
