Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout this week. The next stocking of 1,500 pounds will be the week of March 3rd. Trout season will continue through April. 

What’s the Catch?  We had our first report of trolling trout this weekend on a Rapala about 40 feet deep. Otherwise, the trout bite was a little slow. Reports from the shoreline are that the bass are starting to spawn. We had a number of bass reeled in on dropshot and shiners. The runoff from the recent rains made for ideal catfish conditions. Cats were reeled in from Shadow Cove to Cactus Patch. There was a good amount of Bluegills pulled this weekend too. The gills were biting on nightcrawlers and Powerbait. Look for submerged structure.

Conditions: The current water temperature is 57 degrees near the dock. The water column is well oxygenated and conditions are good for trout. The lake elevation is at 695 feet. The sun is rising at 6:26 a.m. and setting at 5:38 p.m.
