The South is open for hatchery steelhead. Anglers are catching steelhead throughout the river. The best bet for hooking a steelhead would be in the Canyonville area. Fishing is slow. The South Umpqua River will be closed to all angling at the end of April

Diamond Lake: Diamond Lake is still frozen over
Galesville Reservoir: The reservoir is at full pool now with all the recent rainfall this year
Garrison Lake: Trout are scattered throughout the lake
Plat I Reservoir: The reservoir is at full pool levels
Rogue River- Lower: The weather is perfect for spending some time chasing spring chinook
Umpqua River: Fishing has been fair to good with a good number of hatchery chinooks being harvested
Umpqua River- North : Winter steelhead angling is slow

Trask River: The Trask is low and clear but there are still fish available throughout the fishery
Fish Lake : Fish Lake is 72 percent full and ice-free
Howard Prairie Reservoir: Howard Prairie is 86 percent full and rising
Hyatt Lake: Hyatt is currently 88 percent full and rising
Lost Creek Reservoir: Lost Creek offers very good opportunity for spring trout fishing
Medco Pond: Medco wasstocked with rainbow trout this week
Rogue River - Middle: Flow in Grants Pass is around 3,200 cfs on Tuesday
Rogue River- Upper: Anglers continue to catch winter steelhead
