There are some very nice trout in Malheur Reservoir right now. Anglers were consistently catching trout using a variety of methods. Recent sampling showed there are plenty of trout in the 17 to 20-inch range weighing around two pounds with good numbers of smaller trout as well.

The reservoir is quite full and the boat ramp is usable. Water clarity has likely improved and fishing should be excellent. Try contacting The Outdoorsman (541-889-3135), a local sporting goods store in Ontario for the latest information. Anglers should look forward to some great fishing this spring.
