Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,500 pounds of catfish last weekend. The next stocking of 1,000 pounds will be the week of June 16th. A total of 8,500 pounds of catfish will be stocked. The lake is now open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays!

What’s the Catch? There were consistent reports last weekend of catfish ranging in the 2-5 pound range being reeled in during nightfishing. We had reports from Eagle and Sentry Cove, both areas offer deeper water and structure, but expect the catfish to move into shallower water after dark. Best baits were mackerel soaked in garlic attractant or garlic night nightcrawlers and dough baits. The Redear bite was epic last weekend! Half Moon Cove and red worms was the magic formula.

Conditions: The current water temperature is 65 degrees at the surface. The aerator has been turned on, so the dissolved oxygen content is well mixed. The days are getting longer with the sun rising at 5:42 a.m. and setting at 7:50 p.m.
