While the Pyramid Lake season is officially open until the end of June we begin to wrapup our shore fishing around the middle/end of May. There is still some great fish to be caught with the approach usually across the lake or in the more difficult to reach depths. Our recommended guide service for fishing Pyamid Lake from a boat is, Lacey's Guide Service. Hans and his crew of boats are out there all season and working hard to put clients on fish. Call us if you are interested in booking a trip.

Mike Anderson prepared the following short wrap up of his Pyramid Lake season and encourages many stillwater anglers to keep it up. Our regional lakes and reservoirs are full and fishing well. We can't show them all but the images are a few of the fish guest put in the net this season.

What a season out at the lake this year! I want to thank everyone who came out and fished with me this year, and to everyone who trusted the Reno Fly Shop to have all of the gear and knowledge to make your fishing experience memorable.

This season was very productive. November was notable as we caught many large fish early in the season setting the tone for the rest of the year. The overall size of the LCT was larger than in previous years, and overall numbers of fish was also higher than the previous couple of years. This is an exciting trend that I believe will continue to increase in the future. The late season (mid January to mid May) was also a return to normal from the previous couple of years as we landed good numbers and size through that time. In summary, a lot of fun was had and a lot of fish were caught. We’re excited, and looking forward to next October!
