Open year-round. Fishing above the marsh would normally be the best. Redband trout fishing is best below Pikes Crossing. Brook trout fishing is best above Rock Creek campground at the deep beaver pond areas. Look at google earth to pick out these areas.
Fishing has been ok below the marsh especially if you can find the areas of the black drake mayfly hatch.
The black drake mayfly hatch is excellent in certain low gradient sections of the river. Flows have dropped.
