Below the Davis Dam, local angler Patrick Paoli and his helper, Eagle, were fishing from shore near the casino area. Pat was using anchovies and managed to land several fish — including a catfish! The biggest striper weighed in at 6.74 pounds and measured 27¼ inches. This is a great sign that plenty of fish in this size range are out there right now. We hope you get a chance to take advantage of the action while the bite is on.

Meanwhile, up on Lake Mohave, trolling with various swimbaits has been working well for many anglers.

Fishing Clinic Update:
The "Fish with a First Responder" event, hosted by the Moose Lodge on Miracle Mile, will be held at Rotary Park. Pre-registration will be opening soon, and flyers will be available shortly. The Moose Lodge is being supported by Lorrie Duggins, and I’ll be helping out as well. It’s shaping up to be a great event for youth 18 and under.

No fishing poles are required — but if you bring your own, we’re happy to help set it up. We’ll have free hot dogs for participants, and food will also be available for purchase.
