Fishing has been good at Knott Creek Reservoir this season. The heat is definitely starting to limit some of the shoreline access due to the vegetation. Some suspended algae has been reported but doesn’t seem to be taking over just yet. Damsels, callibaetis mayflies, and midge have all been consistently hatching through the day. The dry fly fishing has been good early and late in the day with blood midge emergers parachute adams for imitating the callibaetis. Large leech patterns have been very effective when trolled or slowly retrieved during the day.
