Pyramid Lake held steady near full pool with water temperatures around 78 degrees. Fishing conditions showed little change from the previous week. Most anglers focused on striped bass along with smallmouth and largemouth in coves early in the morning, before the striper bite moved to mid-lake by 9 or 10 a.m. Anglers reported nonstop action on smaller striped bass, with espetits, riser baits, and poppers all drawing strikes, though bigger stripers in the 5- to 10-pound range came after working through the schools of smaller ones. Bass anglers found chunky fish in the grass, where Texas rigs and crankbaits worked well, and along bluff walls tight to shore. Catfishing remained difficult from shore due to heavy weeds, but boaters in Yellowbar put together solid catches on cut sardines and chicken liver.
