Trout fishing is picking up with the cooler weather. Water temperatures read around 58 degrees at the South Lake midday this week. Trout in the 15″ t0 20″ range are being caught in the collection ditch. Fly anglers are reporting success with dark-colored streamer and leech patterns. Small dry flies are also still getting hit. Small, flashy spinners like Panther Martins are the go-to for spin anglers. Fishing for bass is slowing for the season, with far less keeper-size fish being caught. Special Regulations: Minimum size keeper for black bass is 10 inches. Artificial lures only in the collection ditch.
