The Siuslaw is open for Fall Chinook! The Siletz has had a decent catch so far, with folks having some success in the lower river. Your best bet in the lower Siuslaw is trolling though there is a few bank angling spots along the boulder rip rap in the lower stretches of the river. Fish are throughout the basin and will continue moving up with the recent rains!
The coho fishery does offer an additional harvest opportunity in the basin but will close October 14 for the season.
Cutthroat will be distributed throughout the Siletz basin. Anglers are reminded to check the regulations for the use of bait and whether there are closed streams.
