Fall Chinook fishing should start picking up in the lower Kilchis

Fall Chinook fishing should start picking up in the lower Kilchis as fish have started to migrate into the rivers after last week's rains. Tillamook Basin rivers have reduced bag limits for wild adult Chinook this season; check the regulation updates online.

A few chum should be starting to show up in the lower Kilchis River. The chum fishery is catch and release only and anglers are encouraged to use good ethics and avoid spawning fish and redds (spawning nest).

Cutthroat trout season closes November 1.
