Fishing is generally best when flows are below 3,000 cfs. Flows are currently at around 3,100 cfs at the gage in Waterloo. Fishing for spring Chinook is now closed. Fishing for summer steelhead is open year-round and is still quite good through September and into October. At this time of year the majority of these are in the upper sections above Waterloo, from below the deadline at Wiley Creek to Pleasant Valley boat ramp.

Lake Marie: Fishing has been slow, but no recent reports
Lemolo Lake: Angling should be good for all trout
Plat I Reservoir: Duck hunting is open on Plat I
Smith River: Anglers are continuing to find striped bass
Umpqua River: Received a few good reports of striped bass being caught in the lower sections
Umpqua River- North : Coho fishing is slow
Umpqua River- South : Will reopen December 1
Foster Reservoir: The reservoir elevation has dropped down to its winter low-water level
Santiam River ( North Fork) : River is currently running at around 2,500 cfs at the gage in Mehama
Santiam River ( North Fork) Above Detroit Lake: Currently, flows are around 520 cfs
