We're down to the normal Winter flows now of about 22 cfs. The water is definitely low but the fishing has been very good! The streamer action has been very good as well as the nymphing. It's been pretty cold in the mornings so there's no real need to get out there too early, most anglers are hitting the water between 9 and 10 or so. Some flies that have been working: sculpzilla, dead drift crayfish, ziwi, double bunny, Dali Lama, perdigon, zebra midge, rubberlegs, micro stone, rainbow warrior, flashback emerger.

 

The ranch has been fishing excellent lately with good reports coming in from nearly all the anglers we've talked to that have fished it lately. There's room on the books coming up, if you want to book some time on the ranch just give us a call.

 

We haven't had anyone on the pond lately but typically this is a very good time of the year to be out there, the weeds are all but gone so there should be lots of clear water ands the fish should be hungry getting ready for winter. Small leech patterns and soft hackles are usually a great way to go this time of the year.

 

Bridgeport has been pretty hit and miss lately with a few good reports coming in as well as some not so good reports. There's been some fish being caught from the shore down near the dam with bait like garlic power bait, inflated crawlers and mice tails and there's been some fish also being caught trolling with crawlers, Thomas Bouyants and small Rapalas. Not a ton of action but there's still a few nice fish making a showing.

 

We didn't hear any news from Kirman this week, if we hear anything we'll pass it on.

 

The Twins have also been a bit hit and miss with a few anglers lately reporting some good days with limits but other anglers not doing so well. Night crawlers seem to be the best bait up there with a few fish also being caught on mice tails and power bait. Lure anglers have been having some limited success with Kastmasters and mini jigs.

 

We didn't hear much news from the West this week but you should still be able to get into some fish with spinners like Mepps and Panther Martins and bait like salmon eggs and night crawlers. Fly anglers can try prince nymphs, pheasant tails, hare's ears and small wooly buggers.

 

I just heard yesterday that Little V is iced over except for a little open water near the inlet and Big V is still ice free and fishing ok. The anglers I spoke with were able to get into a few fish with power bait and night crawlers up there. Not sure how much longer Big V will be open but likely not too much longer.
