Most anglers have stopped focusing on bass this time of year, but some are still finding success. Anglers start steelhead fishing in late November in the lower sections.
The Umpqua River is closed to all salmon fishing including hatchery Chinook and coho fishing as of August 25. The wild fall Chinook quota was reached in mid-August.
