Fall Chinook remains fair on the Salmon River! We saw lots of action near the hatchery holes these past few weeks and folks bank angling were able to land some great fish! Trolling the lower portion of the river can lead to some success, but the Salmon River also offers decent bank access below the Salmon River Hatchery in few locations. This time of year trolling in the lower basin starts to drop off as fish move higher up into the system. Salmon River also has a hatchery component to the run, offering a wider variety of harvest.
There is no wild coho fishery on the Salmon River!
Check your regulations before you head out for bait or stream restrictions.
