This is the slow season for Hat Creek and you will see predominantly Blue Wing Olives and midges if you see a hatch at all. Some good days can be had in the flats and lower in the system below Highway 299 with the winter stoneflies. We would also like to take this chance to remind folks who fish the Powerhouse 2 riffle that the wild trout spawn in this section. Use caution to stay off of any redds and let the fish do their thing so we have a healthy fish population.
Hot Flies:
• Lance's Jigged X-May
• Rubberlegs
• Sweet Pea Jigged Baetis
• Pheasant Tails
• Mercer's Missing Link
• S&M Nymph
• Walt's Worm
• Peaches n' Green
• BP Weiss Nymph
