Fishing is very slow as winter settles in. There is very little angling effort currently due to the winter weather in the area. Be aware that the south ramp docks are removed in October. The Diamond Lake Lodge has also removed their docks and rental boats.
Diamond Lake has been stocked with tiger and brown trout. These fish were introduced to help control illegally introduced tui chub. These trout are catch-and-release only and need to be released immediately and unharmed if caught. Follow these catch-and-release tips for reducing fish mortality.
