Fall Chinook remains fair on the Salmon River! We saw lots of action near the hatchery holes these past few weeks and folks bank angling were able to land some great fish! With the recent rains, and more rain in the forecast, most fish will be pushing higher up into the system, there is limited bank access as you move higher up into the system but there are quite a few productive holes throughout the upper portion of the fishery. . Salmon River also has a hatchery component to the run, offering a wider variety of harvest.

There is no wild coho fishery on the Salmon River!

Winter steelhead will start moving into the basin, though it is still early it is likely fish will be moving into the basin in the coming weeks!

Check your regulations before you head out for bait or stream restrictions.
