Ice comes off around the same time that access opens up, usually in mid-April. Spring fishing is typically good to excellent for abundant rainbow and tiger trout.

Fish Lake : The ice is starting to come off Fish Lake
Forsyth Reservoir : Restocking occurred in the fall with tiger and cutthroat trout
Gunnison Bend Reservoir : The numerous species will be getting more active as the water warms
Johnson Reservoir: No fish are scheduled to be stocked due to the continuing repairs on the dam outlet
