Stampede Reservoir continues to produce a variety of fishing opportunities as water temperatures settle into the upper 50s. Kokanee fishing remains steady, although fish are still on the smaller side, with pink or orange hoochies behind dodgers producing the best results in 40 to 60 feet of water near the Sagehen and Little Truckee inlets. Rainbow trout anglers are finding success trolling Rapalas, while shore anglers continue to catch fish on spinners, worms, and PowerBait. The smallmouth bass bite has also picked up around the dam and rocky points, giving anglers another productive option during the summer months.
