GREEN RIVER BELOW FLAMING GORGE DAM: Anglers report good fishing as the browns begin their spawning activities. The cold weather is shifting the feeding pattern from summer to winter. Try a combination with a streamer (woolly bugger or sculpin) or a larger terrestrial (cicada, grasshopper or pine beetle), and then add a scud or midge larva as a trailer. Also, watch and match the hatch if it happens. On windy days, anglers who use lures are usually more successful because they are easier to cast. Try crankbaits, spinners, spoons and dark (black or crayfish) or white/crayfish-colored jigs.
