ANTIOCH: Sturgeon bite is solid in Antioch, Broad Slough, Honker Bay and Grizzly Bay. Grass shrimp, eel and salmon roe work best. Gotcha Bait & Tackle (925) 706-7400 ???? BENICIA: Sturgeon bite is productive for those working up and down the Mothball Fleet. The shallows of Grizzly Bay have sturgeon. Make sure you slow to a troll on the way to your fishing spot so as not to disturb the fish. Find 4 to 6 feet of water at the bottom of the tide. Benicia Bait (707) 745-4921 DISCOVERY BAY: Black bass bite is good for those using plastics. Offer slowly.?? Hook, Line & Sinker (925) 625-2441 FRANK'S TRACT: Striper bait is tough. A few are caught on sardines or mackerel. Black bass bite is good. A lot of big fish are being caught, jigs, drop-shots or Senkos presented very slowly can bring a large reward. Hook, Line & Sinker (925) 625-2441 FREEPORT: Sturgeon fishing is rated as good. Water is low and a bit murky. Bait anglers are using 7 to 10 ounces to get their baits in the strike zone. Lamprey eel, ghost shrimp or nightcrawlers work well. Stripers from 2 to 20 pounds are in the deep water channel. Shiners, mudsuckers are the top bait. Freeport Bait (916) 665-1935 Johnny PITTSBURG: Fishing is slow. Sturgeon fishing is OK at best. Striper fishing is poor.
