On March 9, the warmer temperatures had melted the slush and the reservoir was open water again. The road leading directly to the reservoir is open. The water level is a little lower than it was last week. Anglers report fair fishing throughout the reservoir. Anglers are catching small rainbow trout near the inlet on PowerBait, but the bite is very light. Some anglers are catching brood stock trout, but it hasn't been easy. Try using a jig with a white, plastic paddle bug. Other anglers have had success using typical dry flies on the surface. Many people are visiting the pond in the afternoons and on the weekends.
