Willow Pond Park - Murray , Utah

Lake Information

Fish Species: Rainbow Trout
Willow Pond Park in Murray is a top-tier urban fishery managed under Utah’s community fishing program. The 5-acre pond is stocked regularly with rainbow trout in the spring and fall, and channel catfish during summer. It also supports bluegill and occasional largemouth bass.

Trout are caught using bait like PowerBait and salmon eggs or with small spinners along the pond’s edges. Catfish are most active in summer and bite well on stink baits or cut bait fished on the bottom. Bluegill provide steady warm-season action for youth anglers using micro-jigs or worms.

Boats and wading are not allowed. The park features paved paths, ADA-accessible piers, restrooms, and shaded picnic areas—ideal for family outings and youth events. Fishing is regulated with a two-fish daily limit and additional community-specific rules outlined in the Utah Fishing Guidebook.

With reliable stocking, modern amenities, and excellent access, Willow Pond Park remains one of the most consistent and accessible public fisheries in the Salt Lake Valley.
