Water levels have dropped to around 45% of capacity and releases remain steady. Despite the drawdown, the bass bite is holding strong for shoreline anglers. While many of the catches are still in the smaller class, quality fish are showing with more regularity. Productive presentations include 4-inch Keitech swimbaits, drop-shot rigs, small finesse jigs, square-bills, and shallow-running crankbaits worked along rocky points and submerged structure. The crappie bite remains consistent, particularly in the marina area. Anglers are scoring on small shad-pattern jigs like Get Bent Baits, and live shiners under floats. Early morning and late evening have been best in 15 to 20-feet of water. Trout action is steady in the North Fork and around both dams. Boaters trolling leadcore line with Needlefish, Tasmanian Devils, or Flicker Shads are boating some of the larger holdover fish. Catfish activity has ticked up this week, with better numbers showing in the evenings and after dark. Popular baits include frozen shad, SSS Dip Bait, and nightcrawlers fished along the flats
