Great salmon this year!

Sacramento River - Lower - Redding, CA (Shasta County)

First ever King salmon for Jenn today! Check out the scales on this King salmon over 240 miles up river. That was a quick swim for this lady salmon!

We're seeing a very good grade of salmon this year in the Sacramento River!  Quantity hasn't been the story so much as the quality since July 16th.  We've been surprised to see this many big salmon in the Sac this year already and they just keep coming.  I'd trade any one of these big Kings for a few smaller salmon like we saw in 2017 and 2018.  Very light boat traffic and light loads made for a very enjoyable day on the river with clienst today.
