Website
Road access is open to the lake, but typically closes sometime in early December. Check with the Mogollon Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest prior to heading to the lake. Blue Ridge campground is closed for the winter. Reservoir elevation is 6,669.23 feet, current volume is at 5,072 acre feet or 34% full and dropping (as of 11/22/2022). Launching a boat becomes more difficult as the reservoir drops. Be cautious of floating logs and debris while launching a boat and navigating the reservoir. Small lures, particularly spinners in black, brown, silver, and gold should produce well. Flies such as Wooly Bugger, Simi-seal leech, Zug Bug, and Clouser minnow patterns should work well. The harvest of green sunfish and bullhead catfish in C.C. Cragin is unlimited. Please be respectful of others while launching and retrieving your boat; it is a narrow boat launch, so please do not loiter or crowd the launch.
