Seasonal heat is coming in strong with temperatures expected to soar over 110 degrees Fahrenheit this coming weekend. Fish activity will be at its best during the cooler morning and evening hours. Anglers have been using cut anchovies to catch striped bass from the Willow Beach Fishing Pier. Elsewhere, jerkbaits have been fooling black bass while plastic baits have been catching catfish and smallmouth bass near coves.
