BV received another plant with 3000 pounds of fresh trout. Angles reported excellent fishing while throwing minijigs, dough bait, Mousetails, and various lures. Small crankbaits, Kastmasters, and spinners all fooled plenty of fish. The crappie bite has been great at BV, and anglers reported fish falling for a variety of baits. Minijigs and small swimbaits worked the best, but crappie also fell for small live minnows. Catfish ate dip bait, sardines, and garlic scented nightcrawlers, and bass anglers reported a fair bite on white swimbaits and green pumpkin Senkos.
