This week Isabella rose to 27 percent of capacity. The largemouth bite is very good here for better grade fish. Bass have been coming on DT14 and DT16 in Rapala brown crawdad. They’re also getting them on 3/8 or 1/2 ounce football jigs with Yamamoto, chigger craw or Bass Assassin trailer. Deep crankbaits, swimbaits and underspins off Camp 9 rocks, Rocky Point, Piney Point and Engineer Point in 15 to 25-feet water. The crappie are still showing but most of them have been found around structure in 20 to 30-feet of water. The marinas are still holding scattered schools. Some larger slabs are being caught in 40 plus feet of water with live shiners and minijigs. The catfish bite remains decent, and anglers are finding success with chicken liver, dip baits, and cut baits. Trout can be caught with garlic scented baits, spinners, mice tails and worms. Boaters can find them trolling leadcore with needlefish, Tasmanian devils, and flicker shad around the dam.
