State Park staff is reporting 5″ of ice in holes sampled near the boat launch. Be advised, this is glare ice, and is extremely slippery. Anglers are reporting ice measuring up to 10″ in some of the coves of the Hendricks arm and Penrod arm. Ice thickness is variable across the reservoir and conditions can change daily. Always sample the ice for yourself and come prepared with ice safety gear such as ice picks, rope, extra clothing, etc.
