Kaweah is filling rapidly with water levels rising to 35 percent of the lake’s storage capacity. Rising water levels complicate spring fishing at Kaweah with bass and anglers constantly adjusting to the changing conditions. Bass will be located from 5 to 30 feet deep with spotted bass spawning deeper than largemouth. Finesse baits, Senkos, and reaction baits will all fool fish during the upcoming spring bite. There was a trout plant scheduled for the week of March 23rd.
