Warm Springs Reservoir was stocked with 30,000 rainbow trout fingerlings in 2023 and another 60,000 in 2024.
Recent sampling showed one-year-old trout should be in the 12-inch range and fingerlings stocked in 2023 could be much larger. During sampling, our highest catch per unit effort for trout was north of the lower boat ramp. The reservoir is still recovering from extreme draw down in 2022 but is full now. Sampling indicates there is a strong year class of age 1 bass that will provide a good fishery in a couple more years.
The road into the reservoir can be very treacherous during wet conditions.
