Summer steelhead angling is slow. This is mostly a catch-and-release fishery with very few hatchery summer steelhead. Only hatchery steelhead may be harvested.

Fishing is slow in the lower sections but will improve as more Springers enter the North Fork and we receive more rain. The Swiftwater Park area has been fair and should improve as more fish move into the area. Early forecast for spring Chinook in the North is low, but high enough for there to be some harvest. There will be 1 a day, 10 for the season limit on wild spring Chinook this year.
