Pyramid Lake held at 90% of its storage capacity, with water temperatures climbing into the upper 60s. Bass fishing was very good, with both largemouth and smallmouth bass actively feeding along rocky points and bluff walls. Anglers reported hooking up using drop shot rigs with 4" Roboworms, Texas rigs, and grubs. On windy days, jerkbaits and squarebills produced good numbers of bass in the mud lines. Striped bass were caught using cut sardines, anchovies, and lugworms near the marina. Trolling with umbrella rigs and Alabama rigs over main lake points also yielded striped bass. Catfish anglers found consistent action using dip bait, chicken liver, and cut sardines, particularly around Yellowbar. A lake regular reported a good stringer of 3-to-5-pound whisker-fish while using chicken liver blood injected nightcrawlers.
