The resort is open. They offer boat rentals and launching. Last week a fellow angler caught a nice 20lb lake trout. Other anglers have been doing well from shore or trolling. Small flashers and a crawler or Rapalas have been most productive. The lake was planted recently by the CDFG. Best areas have been from the resort to Woods Creek area and along the rocks. Use extreme caution if you venture into purgatory cove. There are huge rocks that can damage your boat. For more information go to caplelakeresort.com .
Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question. a report in our local fishing area or have a photo of your catch, send it to nevada@fishreports.com. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
