Hobart has fished very well this spring and should continue to fish well through the summer. Damsels, dragonflies, midge, and callibaetis mayflies have all been hatching throughout the day. Fish have been on the surface eating midge and callibaetis early in the day until the typical afternoon wind picks. Ants, hoppers, and damsel adults are fun to fish along the shoreline even in the wind. Small streamers slowly trolled from a float tube in open water will almost always produce fish. Spin fisherman using small spinners from the dam should find some good aggressive tiger trout until water temps really warm up and push fish into deeper water.
