The flow on the East is about 130 today. The river has still been fishing pretty well with some good reports coming in from early morning sessions as well as late evening sessions. It’s still pretty warm during the day so it’s best to fish before about 11am and after about 5 pm. The flows haven’t changed much in the past week, if at all so the fish are pretty settled in where they are. The upper mile section is starting to produce a few fish but it’s still much better downstream of the bridge on Hwy 182. There’s been some decent streamer action in the mornings as well as some pretty good dry/dropper action in the evenings. Nymphing is still the go-to technique for day in and day out success. Flies we’ve heard good news about: chubby chernobyl, foam hoppers, sculpzilla, dead drift crayfish, ziwi, dali lama, darth baetis, flashback emerger, perdigon, dark lord, rainbow warrior, silver streak.
