Below Warmsprings Reservoir

Flows are now around 570 cfs and water clarity is low. Fishing has been good for trout up to 18" in and around the Riverside Wildlife Area. Nymphs and streamers are consistent producers this time of year. There is quite a bit of suspended algae moving throug the river right now so nymphing or drifting lures or bait may be most effective.

Above Warmsprings Reservoir

Fishing for smallmouth between Drewsey and the reservoir should be good right now. Flows are now around 18cfs. Fishing for Redband and Brook trout throughout the upper Malheur will be picking up now that flows have dropped and water clarity is excelent. All bull trout must be released unharmed.
