Access is open. Fishing is slow. Many of the brown trout hang around the dock. The mouth of Evening Creek is also a good area to try.

The best area for fly fishing for smaller brown trout is the southeast end where there is some aquatic macrophyte growth. Good hatches of Callibaetis mayflies occur here.

Fishing can be ok from shore all along the campground section for rainbow trout. Miller Creek has abundant small Brook Trout with an occasional Brown Trout or Brook Trout. Bait is allowed.

Call the USFS in Chiloquin for more information, 541-783-4001.
