Success Lake held near 11 percent of capacity, and bass fishing has been decent. Anglers reported a good finesse bite for smaller grade bass. Most of the action has been in 10 to 20 feet of water with main lake points holding a lot of biting bass. Crankbaits fooled fish in shallow water, and they accounted for some of the bigger bass near the submerged trees. Crappie fell for small live minnows and minijigs near the marina, and catfish ate dip bait, cut mackerel, and chicken liver.
