Success Lake rose to 13 percent of its storage capacity, and bass anglers reported another decent week of fishing. Finesse baits produced good numbers, with drop-shots, spider jigs, and shaky heads in Aaron’s Magic, watermelon red flake, and green pumpkin all working well. Senkos continued to take fish as usual. Reaction baits fooled bass early and late in the day, with crankbaits and topwater both producing strikes. Catfish anglers found success in the North Fork using cut mackerel and SSS dip bait, while crappie reports were on the slow side.
