At Donner Lake, fishing remains solid across all species

At Donner Lake, fishing remains solid across all species. Kokanee are being found near the west end around 50 feet deep on small spoons and hoochies. Mackinaw are hanging deeper—50 to 150 feet—and responding well to larger plugs and slow-trolled spoons. Shore anglers are connecting with rainbows near China Cove and the west-end ramps using worms, PowerBait, and spinners. Early and late in the day remain best before boat traffic picks up.
